{"id":1524,"date":"2018-09-25T09:24:26","date_gmt":"2018-09-25T16:24:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pnwfolklore.org\/wp-nwhoot\/?p=1524"},"modified":"2019-01-28T17:21:39","modified_gmt":"2019-01-29T00:21:39","slug":"pnwfs-in-the-numbers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/pnwfolklore.org\/wp-nwhoot\/index.php\/2018\/09\/25\/pnwfs-in-the-numbers\/","title":{"rendered":"PNWFS in the Numbers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SIXTY-FIVE<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 The Pacific Northwest Folklore Society was founded sixty-five years ago in 1953 by Walt Robertson and friends in the University District of Seattle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ELEVEN<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 The Society was revived eleven years ago <span class=\"style13\">by Stewart Hendrickson, Bob Nelson and Don Firth with a Reunion Concert featuring Bob Nelson &amp; Don Firth on October 14, 2007, at Central Lutheran Church in Capital Hill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>TEN<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/pnwfolklore.org\/Newsletter01.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">first edition of the NW HOOT<\/a> was published ten years ago in October, 2008.\u00a0 The first Coffeehouse Concert was April 11, 2008, with Jim Portillo, Isla Ross and Alan Kausal, at the coffeehouse Kaffe Shachor in West Green Lake. We then moved briefly to the Library Cafe on Crown Hill and then to the Wayward Coffeehouse in Greenwood from October, 2008, through April, 2010.\u00a0 You can listen to a CD &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/pnwfolklore.org\/wp\/index.php\/seattle-coffeehouse-live-cd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Seattle Coffeehouse Live!<\/a> &#8211; of recorded concerts at the Wayward from 2008-2010.<\/p>\n<p><strong>EIGHT<\/strong>\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 Eight years of Coffeehouse Concerts at Couth Buzzard Books began in May, 2010.
